What do you enjoy about your job? What aspects of your job are the most exciting or interesting?
I am currently both a PhD student and a consultant in the research division of The World Bank. This gives me the dual opportunity for research and teaching. It allows me to analyze real-world problems that affect real lives, and making marginal contributions to their development. And the jobs give me an opportunity to share these experiences in classroom and through publications.

Why did you choose to pursue an MPA/MPP degree?
This degree had a balance between theory and tangible, practical applications. Also it was a stepping stone for a PhD in policy studies - helping me identify whether I was keen enough to take the next step and if so, then in my chosen area of specialization.

How did you select your graduate school?
I received my MA in Economics in the same University and so knew some of the faculty already. Being in DC the school was able to attract by renowned field-experts. In turn I was able to work with The World Bank and apply my learning - thereby helping me translate my skills and knowledge into experience.

How would you characterize your personality?
* Team worker * Good under pressure * Compassionate * Persistent * Organized * Committed * Flexible * * Fast-paced * Curious * Detail-oriented * Independent * Diplomatic * Courageous * Analytical *
