| What do you enjoy about your job? What aspects of your job are the most exciting or interesting? | ||
| I am currently both a PhD student and a consultant in the research division of The World Bank. This gives me the dual opportunity for research and teaching. It allows me to analyze real-world problems that affect real lives, and making marginal contributions to their development. And the jobs give me an opportunity to share these experiences in classroom and through publications. |
||
| Why did you choose to pursue an MPA/MPP degree? | ||
| This degree had a balance between theory and tangible, practical applications. Also it was a stepping stone for a PhD in policy studies - helping me identify whether I was keen enough to take the next step and if so, then in my chosen area of specialization. |
||
| How did you select your graduate school? | ||
| I received my MA in Economics in the same University and so knew some of the faculty already. Being in DC the school was able to attract by renowned field-experts. In turn I was able to work with The World Bank and apply my learning - thereby helping me translate my skills and knowledge into experience. |
