Eduardo Rodriguez served as President of Bolivia from June 2005 to January 2006. He succeeded to the post in 2005 after then president Carlos Mesa resigned from the presidency, and the next two legislative members in line for succession declined the position. Rodriguez served as temporary president until the next constitutional election. Prior to his succession to the presidency, Rodrigeuz was the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Bolivia. Rodrigeuz holds a law degree from the Universidad Mayor de San Simón in Cochabamba and worked as a lawyer before his appointment to the Supreme Court. |
